It has been just over 4 years since God brought Deb and me to FBC Macon. We have seen several of our loved ones called home to be with the Lord, but we have the promise that we will be reunited with them in glory for those who know the Lord.

God has been gracious to us in all aspects of our church life. We have seen children come to Christ because of VBS (Vacation Bible School). We have baptized new believers. New faces have joined our family here, and we continue to see visitors come through our doors. We ask God to continue to entrust us with the people He brings our way, so that we can be a blessing to all who enter our doors.

May we always be sensitive to the leadership of the Holy Spirit and have a heart filled with gratitude for who God is in our lives. May we always strive to be as biblically correct in our doctrine as we can, keeping Christ at the center of our preaching and teaching. I pray that each one of us accept the biblical challenge to be mission-oriented and evangelistic in practice. We are privileged to be a part of the process that God uses to call people to Himself.

We live in a dangerous world, and we realize that there has never been a better time to be a Christian than now. We have many opportunities to see God’s light shine in the darkness and see one more soul rescued from the pits of hell.

As we look to the future with the anticipation of the return of Christ, may we live each day as if there were no tomorrow, so that we might sense the urgency of the Gospel message. May the light of His truth shine in the darkness of this world. May we continue to be useful to our Lord and to walk in a manner that is worthy of the calling by which we have been called.
